There's nothing like a beautiful summer night, good food and good company. At the Beast & Bird Food Truck, you're always met with a smile, good music and great fellow foodies! We feature fan favorite staples like pulled pork, sliced brisket, coleslaw, cornbread and our to-die-for mac & cheese, along with various custom pop-up menu items throughout the season.
Our home base, where we serve weekly, is in Vinton, Iowa, but we travel frequently to neighboring towns and cities. We love providing food truck service for local events!

Main dish items stray greatly from what's available for walk-up service. Flame seared steaks, fire roasted vegetables, stuffed pork chops, citrus-smoked salmon, lobster mac-n-cheese... the list goes on!

We take no shortcuts when it comes to creating the perfectly finished meat entree. Whether it's for food-truck service or a private event, every piece of meat is carefully selected and inspected to ensure only the highest quality of meats make it to our smoker.
All cuts of meat are treated to a custom blend of flavor-enhancing seasonings and rubs. Pair the perfectly prepared meat with one of our craft sauces for the mouth-watering meats we're known for.

The Man Behind the Meat
MEET PITMASTER LOGAN MERCHANT
Logan's many years of and love for backyard grilling and barbecuing has resulted in his own “non-traditional” cooking style, combining craft rubs, marinades, injections, smoke, cast iron, flame and infusions to get the most flavorful outcome possible.
Logan enjoys perfecting his versions of BBQ classics such as pulled pork, BBQ ribs, beef brisket and of course THE MAC, but he is also always testing new flavors and recipes for features, catering and just for fun! His friends and family are eager to volunteer as B&B guinea pigs in his test kitchen.
Motivated by pleasing his patrons"nailing it" every time, Logan sets a high bar for culinary excellence. There is no argument - this man has it figured out when it comes to OMG good food!
